Biography
Judit is a highly skilled and educated leading soprano singer in the genres of Opera and Operetta. She regularly performs at solo and chamber concerts, festivals, oratories and operas in Europe including Hungary, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czech, Poland, Slovakia and the UK as well as Japan and Australia.
During her studies at the world famous Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, she won several prizes for her singing as Art Fellowship of the City of Miskolc in 2005, she was 2nd in the Opera category of the Euroregion Competition Festival in 2007 and Judit was also awarded with the Prize "Diamonds of Miskolc" in 2008.
In 2008 February, she made her operatic debut in the role of Adina in L'elisir d'amore in the Hungarian city of Debrecen. In 2009 Judit performed the role of Fàni at the first premier of the opera Az igazmondò juhàsz by Erzsébet Szönyi at the Bartók+Vienna International Opera Festival. In 2011 Judit appeared at the Miskolc National Theatre in the roles
of Musetta in La Boheme and Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana. Judit appeared in the 2012 Melbourne season of Lehar's The Merry Widow for Opera Australia and in Mozart's Magic Flute in 2014.
In this year she was also singing the role of Spirit and the First Witch in Purcell's Dido in Aeneas and Serpina in La serva padrona by Pergolesi in Brisbane.
On the concert stage Judit has performed as soloist with the North-Hungarian Symphony Orchestra,
the BBZI Symphony Orchestra, Interoperett, Lehar Festival, Queensland Pop's Orchestra, Vienna Pop's Orchestra and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra in diverse repertoire ranging from Handel's oratorios to spectacular New Year's Eve Galas.
In addition to her onstage roles, Judit has recorded two albums, a Christmas special O holy night and
My beautiful homeland featuring popular Hungarian songs and arias by Kodály, Erkel, Lehár and Strauss.
Aside from her singing engagements Judit has taught at the Miskolc University Bartók Béla Music Institute as a Lecture of Voice whilst living in Hungary. She is the lead voice teacher at the Mueller College in Brisbane and maintains an active private teaching studio.
Based in Brisbane, since 2012. Judit was granted a most prestigious Distinguished Talent Visa by the Australian Government as an internationally recognised artist with exceptional and outstanding contributions to the arts.
Judit is a regular soloist at the Underground Opera Company and also a soprano singer for two unique chamber ensemble the Artico Ensemble and the Arioso Baroque Ensemble.
